Reciprocity
We extend reciprocal privileges to Yacht Club members that allow the same privileges to our members. (See the Reciprocity Guide for the Yachting Clubs of America)
Reservations Procedure and Amenities
A letter of introduction and presentation of club membership card is required. Please email or fax the letter to the BYC business office. Upon arrival at the club, visitors are asked to check in at the front desk and obtain a guest card. Barrington Yacht Club offers bar, snack bar, clubhouse, pool, showers, and dockage to its reciprocal members.
Club Hours of Operation
Business Office Monday – Friday 0800 – 1630 hours
Snack Bar (In Season) Monday – Friday 1100 – 1730 hours
Bar (In Season) Monday – Friday 1730 – 2030 hours
Saturday – Sunday 1600 – 2030 hours
Fuel Dock Daily 0800 – ½ hour before sunset
Launch Service Daily 0800 – 2100 hours
Method of Payment
The Barrington Yacht Club requires that all charges be paid at time of service with either cash or credit card. BYC accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover. Barrington Yacht Club does not bill back to the reciprocal visitor’s home Club.
Dress Code
Members, their families, and guests must wear shirts and shoes while in any area of the Clubhouse including the Terrace. Sailing attire is always welcome in the Bar and the Deck. Casual attire is welcome at all times.
Dockage
Dockage is offered based on availability on the Club’s transient dock or available slip. Simply contact the Launch staff on VHF 68 or Business Office at 401-245-1181. Reciprocal guests arriving by boat should display reciprocal club burgee. The reciprocal club overnight rate is $35.00. Fuel, water and pumpout station are located on the main dock. Other than launch service we have a dinghy dock should visitors wish to use their own tender.
