Pret Gladding Race
The Pret Gladding Memorial Race is open to all, and is an annual Spring “around the island” race that circumnavigates Prudence Island in Narragansett Bay. All classes of cruiser/racer sailing vessels are invited with family and friends as crew encouraged.
Leukemia Cup Regatta
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a two-day event that takes place at the New York Yacht Club/Harbour Court in Newport, RI.
Sunfish Regionals – RIISA/Leeds Mitchell Regatta
This annual Sunfish Regionals regatta is a two-day event with racing staged from the Barrington town beach.
2-Person Race (June)
This single-race, non-spinnaker event uses a course similar to the Cox Series with a crew size limited to two individuals. At least one person on board each yacht must be a BYC member.
Newport Regatta
This annual event promises two to three days of spectacular racing on Narragansett Bay, premiere socials and the backdrop of Newport’s City-by-the-Sea.
Ole Ladies Cup
The Ole Ladies Cup Race is for BYC members, and the crew of each yacht must be at least 50% female with a female skipper at the helm for 100% of the race. All female crews are strongly encouraged. Bev Migliore returns as our Race Committee PRO. All levels of ability are encouraged to participate and join in our post race festivities. This is a Member only event.
