About the Sail Training Program (STP)
The BYC has a wide range of instructional programs that begin with our Sail Training Program (STP). Acknowledged as among the best and most successful on Narragansett Bay, members’ children learn in a safe, fun and educational manner about boats and the water. The introductory program is open to children who are 5 years of age and have completed Kindergarten.
This program continues into Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Racing, depending on the level of skill attained and desired. Our instructors are highly experienced. Many of our Junior sailing members have gone on to achieve national and international competitive recognition.
