STP Registration

Hello STP Parents,

Below please find information that will be helpful to you during the 2018 STP registration process.

Pre Registration Preparation

As you get ready to register for the 2018 STP, here are some resources to help you. We want you to be 100% ready to register for your session of choice, so we recommend you review these resources — in addition to the official catalog below — prior to registration opening.

>> Sample Registration PDF: See a sample of the full online form. This will ensure you have all the information on hand for registration. You can download it here: https://app.box.com/s/gyglgsruti22v5qfx9y79o2om1l61g0b

>> A Screencast Registration Walkthrough: The online form has evolved to accommodate the two-part registration process and your Wait List selections (if required). Viewing could eliminate any last minute registration pain. Watch the video online here: https://goo.gl/cZSqAI

Please note that if you have multiple children registering for the STP you will need to complete each child’s form individually.

2018 Registration Timeline

1. Registration for Eight Week Only Sailors: Registration will go live on 2/12/2018 at 5pm (It turns off on 3/5 at 5pm).

This will allow families interested in the full Summer to sign up, and will prevent Session Sailors from getting “bumped” by an eight-week sailor during the regular registration process. Eight-Week registrations received after 3/13/2018 at 5:00pm will be processed in the order they were received our of respect to the registrants, including Session Sailors. So sign up early! The link to this form is: https://byc.wufoo.com/forms/2018-stp-eightweek-only-online-registration/

2. Registration for Regular Summer Session Sailors:  Registration will go live on 3/5 at 5pm (It closes when the class is full or the Thursday prior to the session.)

This is the “traditional” registration for families with Session Sailors. The number of “remaining available” slots will be displayed on the registration form next to each option to help you sign up. There is a WaitList option you can complete if the session you want is full; these will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis using the time-stamp on your registration.

The Sail Training Program (STP) is ready for a safe and fun season of sailing on Narragansett Bay!

This catalog provides all the information you need to register your children for STP, but there is much more information concerning STP policies, procedures, and expectations in the STP Program Handbook available on the BYC website.

The mission of Barrington Yacht Club’s Sail Training Program is to provide quality instruction to members of all ages that will broaden their knowledge and love of sailing, either on the race course or cruising, that will last them a lifetime.

I look forward to a great season of STP!
